2011 Fairfax County Demographic Reports Now Available

From Fairfax County: The Fairfax County Demographic Reports 2011 is now available.

The Demographic Reports is an annual publication that contains estimates and forecasts of population, households and housing units by sub area of the county.

It also contains information on housing characteristics such as types of units, age and market value information.

Other information in the report includes residential development activity and nonresidential gross floor area.

These data are represented by supervisor districts, towns, planning districts, human services regions, ZIP codes and census tracts.

All the tables in the report, including census block group data, although not in the report, are available as individual subject matter tables.

In addition, the economic and demographic pages on the county’s website have been updated to reflect the new 2011 information for population, households and housing.

The website also contains some data that are not included in the Demographic Reports.

These data include acres of land by land use category, acres of land and vacant land by zoning class, underutilized residential land report, vacant land planned for commercial/industrial use report, residential condominium housing projects report, office structures report, and wholesale and warehouse storage facilities report.

Pimmit Hills

Pimmit Hills, founded in 1950, is located next to the Tysons Corner area in Virginia and is one of the largest communities in Fairfax County with over 1,640 homes.
