Discussion on Sundials in the Lives of Founding Fathers

The Analemma Society is sponsoring a discussion with Fred Sawyer, cofounder and current president of the North American Sundial Society (NASS). The talk is entitled "Gnomonic Tales of Thomas Jefferson (and other founding fathers)".

Admission is free.

This talk will consider sundials in the lives of Thomas Jefferson and other prominent figures of early America (e.g. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin).

The Analemma Society is a non-profit organization working in partnership with the Fairfax County Park Authority to develop recreational and educational astronomy programs at Observatory Park located within The Turner Farm Park in Great Falls.
