Pre-parade entertainment will be provided by local elementary schools (Franklin Sherman, Spring Hill, Westgate, and Kent Gardens Elementary Choir).
Peggy Fox from WUSA Channel 9 will call the parade again this year; Bill DuBose will provide introductions for our pre-parade celebration and Bob Rosenbaum on the keyboard will supply the holiday music throughout the parade.

Event details:
Sunday, December 6
Road closure is 2:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Parade begins at 3:30 p.m.
Parade Route: Fleetwood Street to Elm Street on Old Chain Bridge Road

In addition to the actual parade route, Beverly Road and Fleetwood to Old Chain Bridge Road will be closed to non-parade traffic starting at 2:00 p.m. and there will be no parking along those streets as of Sunday morning. Any vehicles in the Langley Shopping Center or store lots along the route will not be able to leave until the conclusion of the parade.

Parking for parade entries can be found in the vicinity of the check-in point at Beverly and Elm. Handicapped parking spaces for parade observers will be available courtesy of McLean Baptist Church, which can be accessed from Dolley Madison Boulevard since the entrance on Chain Bridge Road will be closed at 2:15 p.m.

The parade planning committee is asking all parade observers and participants to share their good fortune with those who have fallen on hard times by bringing grocery, pharmacy or clothing store gift cards to the parade for Share of McLean. A check for Share will also be presented after parade expenses have been met.

Questions regarding the parade can be directed to Trish Butler at sagecommunications@earthlink.net.
